Developer Documentation

Check out the live guide on the Avalara developer website!

At Avalara, I developed a standalone integration guide for software developers that describes the steps and requirements for earning an Address Validation Certification.

As a result, technology partners and API customers have a fuller and intuitively designed guide to integrate the address validation service via AvaTax APIs.

Email Signature Print Instructions

Sometimes, you only need something simple like an email signature to make yourself appear professional.

I designed these print instructions for an older audience, showing them the steps they can complete to create a stunning email signature in Microsoft Outlook while maintaining Microsoft's style guide and branding.

Technical editing

Edited Job Descriptions

While sifting through the many job descriptions at Takeda, I noticed how they lacked consistency, contained errors, and didn't follow the global style guide.

To improve the quality, I redesigned and developed a new template and thoroughly edited 3 jobs for clarity for the employee, hiring manager, and human resources manager while keeping Takeda's tone and branding style.

Content Strategy and Copywriting

Website Analysis

Before initiating any project, it's critical to thoroughly evaluate the website's current content, website design, user base, and competitors.

So, I took the initiative to analyze JapanesePod101's website and organized the findings that identified room for improvement that the upcoming project should address.

Content Strategy Proposal

JapanesePod101 is extremely popular on YouTube, with 2.97 million subscribers, and excites its users to improve their Japanese language skills.

As a user myself, I wanted to improve the content quality of their website, user experience design, and social media presence. From there, I developed an effective content strategy proposal to enhance the overall reach that meets the business and audience's needs.

Blog Series

To improve JapanesePod101's content, I developed 3 delightful and engaging blogs related to Japanese culture. Each blog explores the topic and relates JapanesePod101 videos, vocabulary, and lessons the user can take, inspiring them to learn with them.

These blogs were developed using a template I've designed. This blog focuses on Mt. Fuji. Check out the other blogs I've made!

Business Communication

AVALON Business Letter

AVALON, a 24/7 corner store cafe, is a business I fabricated, from brand kit to organization management.

While given the opportunity to promote our business idea to Shark Tank, we were ultimately rejected. This formal business letter addresses the negative news from an optimistic perspective to the team who worked hard to develop the pitch and marketing. It inspires the employees to continue putting their best selves forward.

AVALON Podcast

Communication isn't always about writing letters and emails.

To keep employees engaged and updated with business operations, I created a short monthly podcast that employees can listen to. As an added accessibility, each podcast comes with a transcript.

While this podcast doesn't involve anyone, other podcasts feature executives and managers to engage in employee feedback and foster ideas.

AVALON Grant Proposal

Seeking to improve customer service and operation efficiency in the Phoenix location, I developed a grant proposal for the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) to fund the upcoming project.

This grant proposal successfully identifies how the grant will help AVALON achieve its vision while supporting ACA's values.

Data Visualization

Minimalist Poster

Based on the public data about foot traffic in Chicago libraries, I wanted to do something fun by creating a minimalistic poster using a treemap chart that shows the most visited Chicago public library.

At a glance, you can immediately tell which library is the most visited.

To add some interesting facts, I've added some callouts to the top 2 most visited libraries.

Project Management

Project Definition Document

All projects must be well-defined before execution to minimize the risk of failure.

As such, I developed this project definition document for editing 2 ADEQ Factsheets in an agile approach.

It analyzes and examines the purpose of the project, its goals, the scope, dependencies, and risks while developing a plan to ensure project success, which it did.
